Our Principles

Women For Change (WFC) ensures that its interventions are safe, inclusive, and effective as it adheres to the highest humanitarian standards and principles, working collaboratively with local authorities, other NGOs, UN agencies, international institutions, and government bodies to achieve a collective impact.

At Women For Change (WFC), we are dedicated to being responsible stewards of our resources and continuously improving through a cycle of action, learning, reflection, and influence through the following principles;


  • Do No Harm in the process of programming and implementing interventions.
  • Keep the interest and voice of the communities (especially the children, women, and girls) at the Centre of our work.
  • Adhere to the humanitarian code of conduct and humanitarian standards and principles.
  • Develop local authority capacity and systems to establish sustainable means for meeting local needs.
  • Being respectful and making use of complementary strengths and contributions that communities (children, women, and girls) bring to bear to achieve their desired results outcomes.
  • Making efforts to partner with other NGOs, UN, International institutions, and Government to achieve collective impact.
  • Being good stewards using donor and WFC resources as efficiently and effectively as possible.
