Women For Change (WFC) is proud to participate in the annual Start Network General Assembly, with the Theme: “From Intent to Impact: Locally Led Action for System Level Change”, held this year in Bangkok, Thailand. Representing South Sudan for the first time, WFC joins other members in advancing the Localization Agenda. Our representative, Kereke Lucy, actively engages with global peers to strengthen local action and collaboration. Together, we are shaping a more inclusive and impactful future.

As Women For Change (WFC), we reaffirm our commitment to eradicating violence against women and girls. In South Sudan, where ongoing conflicts and climate crises continue to displace communities, women and girls face heightened risks of sexual violence. PTA Members Training
Earlier this morning, WFC held a two days (August 26 & 27, 2024) Training of Parents and Teachers Association (PTA members) from 4 schools from Luri and Rajaf payam using the Engaging Men and Boys (EMBiE Approach) in reducing Gender Based violence in our schools and community. This is part of the “Reduction of SGBV Cases” project funded by #GIZ through CARE SOUTH SUDAN and being implemented in partnership by Women for Change.
Tree planting in Gumbo
Youth in Gumbo/Rajaf payam actively participated in a tree planting campaign and this initiative is part of Women for Change's "Integrated Community Empowerment and Advocacy Project" supported by #Danida through DanChurchAid The enthusiastic young people planted a total of two mango trees and two umbrella trees each, contributing to the project's goals of greening the community and promoting environmental awareness.
